Press Release Body =
With all the teaching on transforming the mind, you'd think Christians would
be some of the most powerful and influential individuals on Earth. Yet many
believers suffer from a chronically negative thought life that keeps them
from internalizing God's truths and results in depression, anxiety, worry,
and a host of other mental ailments. Many believers have difficulty living
out their Christian walk because they can't get free from the self
destructive thoughts and mindsets from their past experiences and
conditioning.
"Many of these mindsets, which originated from youth, are embedded in our
subconscious minds and we're not even aware they're there," said Rhonda Jones,
author of Christian Meditation and Relaxation, a series of biblically-based
meditations CDs. "The problem comes when we try to put "new wine" or God's
truth, into "old wine bottles" our unregenerated mind and a mental war or
conflict results. Jesus said, you can't put new wine into old bottles without
destroying both the new wine and the old wine skins. In other words, we must
expose and eliminate our faulty thinking before we can fully embrace new
truth." Paul stated in Romans 7 that we know what to do, but we just can't
seem to do it. We may listen to an inspiring sermon and get excited for the
moment, but before long it wears off and we're often back to our old
behaviors.
Meditating on Christ and his word is different than listening to a good sermon
because meditation helps believers to enter into a state of stillness,
reflection, and openness while teaching them to observe what's really going on
in your minds. "We can't change what we don't see or acknowledge. If I'm
walking around with a red dot on my forehead but I don't know it's there,
what's going to prompt me to wipe it off?" said Jones.
Meditation is just a practice used to quiet the mind and "many scriptures
encourage believers to meditate," said Jones. "Satan's battlefield is the
mind and the Bible says it is where every battle is either won or lost.
We're often defeated in our Christian life, not because we don't believe God
and his word, but because of the underlining and subconscious thoughts we
think," expressed Jones. "It's like an invisible tug a war. We fervently
try to walk in God's light but we're constantly being pulled back by our own
faulty and debilitating thoughts, habits, and patterns."
Christian or biblically-based meditation can help believers discover,
isolate, and eliminate erroneous or debilitating thoughts and emotions that
are limiting their growth and potential, and stealing their peace of mind.
"Too many of us are living by default instead of really analyzing our
thoughts and what role they play in the choices we make," stated the author.

Through her own deliverance from years of depression, destructive
mindsets, chronically negative thoughts, and the inspiration of the Holy
Spirit, Jones created a series of Christian Meditation CDs in an effort
to help believers eliminate debilitating thoughts, while simultaneously
internalizing the truths of God's word.

The very first volume, Christian Meditation: Taking Control of Your
Thought Life, emphasizes discovering and eradicating faulty mindsets
that are interfering with believer's spiritual growth. The four sets
of 75 minute CD's are a mixture of Jones' soothing voice over angelic
and almost tranquilizing music. The guided Christian meditation CD's
give you step-by-step relaxation instructions while at the same time
immersing you in scripture.
The meditations come in a variety of topics that people struggle with on a daily
basis, said Jones. The biblically-based meditation topics include "Taking
Control of Your Thought Life," "Releasing Stress and Toxic Emotions," "Time-out-
Lord Fight My Battle", "Overcoming Restlessness," "Devine Delay", "Faith in God for
Success and Prosperity," "Morning Devotion," and "Interceding for a Loved One."
Each CD also includes a track titled, Invitation to Salvation that encourages
non-believers to make Jesus Christ their Lord and Savior. "They make great gifts
for unsaved loved ones," said Jones.
Jones will soon release the book on the topic titled, "It's All in Your
Mind: Finding Balance, Power, and Peace through Christian Meditation.
"The meditation series is not meant to replace prayer and study," said Jones.
"It's meant to enhance it by making it more fruitful-- because the more we can
clear our minds from all the clutter of the world-- the more we can embrace real
truth."
